Update from College Board on SAT

We’re working to ensure that students will have opportunities to take the SAT® to make up for this spring’s lost administrations. Today we’re sharing with you that we’ve added a new SAT administration for Saturday, September 26, 2020. This date will be for the SAT only, in the United States and internationally, with no SAT Subject Tests™ available. Sunday testing for religious reasons will be on September 27.

Scholarship opportunity

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
This contest is open to all Arizona high school and college students. We are asking students to write a short essay of 500 – 1,000 words on how they intend to use what they use in college, no matter what field they end up working in.

Community College Scholarship

Each year, the Chandler Chamber Community Foundation awards scholarships, valued at $2,000, to three students enrolled at Chandler-Gilbert Community College who are striving to build a strong educational foundation as they work towards careers in the business community. All applications are due by March 27th. Please pick up an application at the front office if interested.

Lockheed Martin is awarding up to 200 renewable scholarships of $10,000 each. Awards are open to individuals studying eligible engineering or computer science majors, who demonstrate financial need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities.

The Mayor’s (Chandler) Teen Leadership Academy is now accepting applications

The Mayor’s Teen Leadership Academy is now accepting applications! The 2020 Teen Leadership Academy will be held March 16 – 20, 2020, at Chandler City Hall. The free, 5-day academy invites students in Chandler to take a deeper look into local government and City operations. The participants will have the opportunity to meet with Mayor Hartke and Council, City Manager Marsha Reed, and various City departments to work towards solutions with simulated activities.
