Theatre
Participating in Theatre at Valley Christian Schools takes on many different forms for students. With opportunities to act, run sound, lighting, and even direct, students develop their gifts as they build confidence and creativity.
Students are able to develop their dramatic skills both in class and after school, with opportunities in a wide variety of productions and theatrical performances.
Theatre Productions
Valley Christian Schools’ Theatre program has performed numerous dramatic productions over the years. Students are able to showcase their God-given talents to the VCS community during both the Fall and Spring semesters.

Theatre Exploration

This introductory theatre course provides students with and engaging foundation in the performing arts while developing confidence, creativity, collaboration, and effective communication skills. Through a variety of interactive theatre activities, students will explore the fundamentals of acting, including voice projection, stage movement, improvisation, character development, scene work, stage directions, and basic performance techniques. Students will also learn the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and artistic expression within a Christ-centered environment. As students demonstrate commitment, preparedness, and a willingness to rehearse and memorize material outside of class, they may have opportunities to audition for and participate in biblically based chapel presentations, as well as Christmas and Spring semester performances.
