Introducing Secure The Future: Phase III
The linchpin for future secure the future phases
CAMPAIGN PRIORITIES
After seven years of prayer, meetings, and planning, we have been granted the opportunity to purchase a 2-acre parcel of land adjacent to our softball field – exactly the amount of land we need to meet our long-term goals for the high school campus.
This land will provide a new practice field for athletics to relieve strain on our current fields at both campuses to serve all K-12 students. It will also add much-needed parking for our growing student population, major events, and the pursuit of our Secure the Future expansion Phase IV, including the Trinity Theatre, Valley Impact Center, and athletics expansion.
Phase III of the Secure the Future Campaign, is the smallest and – with your support – quickest phase at an approximate cost of $2.5M. This amount will purchase the property and develop the space with a practice field, parking, fencing, and other improvements. We are grateful that any funds not raised specifically for the purchase will receive favorable private financing from the current owners who have agreed to sell to VCS. We are intent on beginning to build out the property beginning this summer. We are also excited to share that we have already received some incredible financial commitments to this project.
The Linchpin
Our 18-acre high school campus has been a ministry site for the school since 1997, and God has done incredible things over nearly 30 years. In the early 2000s, we completed a campus master plan, realizing the need to acquire additional land in order to expand to our long-term goal of 150 students per grade level, or 600 students on campus. We were able to acquire 3 acres of land where our softball field and additional parking now sit. And going forward, any additional modifications to our campus – expanding the Bradley Gymnasium, building a long-awaited performing arts theatre, adding practice courts/fields for athletics, expanding the locker rooms, providing adequate parking, and identifying a dedicated space for our ENGAGE/missions program – are reliant on an additional 2 acres of land, contiguous with our current property. This is the linchpin, the connector to our future.
More Than Land
This isn’t just a land purchase – it’s an investment in opportunity, growth, and the mission of VCS.
Thank you for continuing to stand with us as we equip current and future Trojans to be culture changers for Christ.
