How long is the commitment to Extended Programming?
Monthly payments are based on a semester commitment.
What if my kids don't use all of the days?
The monthly fees are charged no matter the amount of days your child(ren) utilize Extended Programming.
What happens if I am late to pick up my child from Extended Programming?
Pick-up Time: Pick up time is 5:30 pm. If your student is not picked up by 5:30 pm, a $25.00 late fee per child will be charged to your FACTS account for each occurrence. (We understand that things happen and would seek to work with you if it’s an emergency or unforeseen delay.)
Do My Children Go To Extended Programming If I'm Late Picking Up From School?
If children are not picked up in carlines and are not registered for Extended Programming, they will remain in the office. Parents will need to come inside for their children. We understand there may be unforeseen circumstances that cause a parent to be late. If this is a routine occurrence, we will speak to the parents and most likely Extended Programming is the option going forward.
Guidelines/Expectations for Extended Programming
- Behavior expectations are the same for Extended Programming as they are during regular school hours – See Student Conduct in our Handbooks.
- **Please note that students who fail to meet behavioral expectations may be dismissed from Trojan Time, be it before or after school. This is in the best interest and well-being of all students, staff and families involved with the program.
- No school iPads or electronics allowed.
- Students may not share food or drink.
- Playground Rules:
- Cannot be on top of play set including bars
- Must get permission to go anywhere on the property, which allows staff to advise parents where the child is when being picked up.
- Students may not play while eating (they will sit in a designated area).
- VCS does not provide snacks. On the occasional Wednesday or half-days, we will provide popcorn.
- Students can bring their own pre-popped popcorn, but staff will not microwave popcorn.
- Pick-up Time: Pick up time is 5:30 pm. If your student is not picked up by 5:30pm, a $25.00 late fee per child will be charged to your FACTS account for each occurrence. (We understand that things happen and would seek to work with you if it’s an emergency or unforeseen delay.)
- Parking – Drop-off & Pick-up: Parents should park in the parking lot next to the K4 campus main entry gate and enter through that same gate. When picking up your student, a car tag must be presented to Extended Programming Staff each day. We suggest taking a photo of your car tags so you will have it on your smartphone. No Exceptions.
- At no time may pets be brought onto campus.
Please note, that by filling out the form below you and your student are agreeing to upholding all of the guidelines and expectations.
The pick-up spot for Trojan Overtime has changed. It is at the Front Lobby door using the security system with camera. There are instructions on the door.
Note from VCS on our "All-In Tuition Model"
We continue to be committed to our “all-in tuition model” for the core educational experience at VCS. We know that families appreciate that VCS does not charge a technology fee, an athletics participation fee (except in rare circumstances), a “new family facility fee,” field trip fees, class-specific required apparel, parking fees, etc. This keeps VCS from having to charge for additional items to families while also allowing scholarships to be used for the entirety of the classroom experience. We are also committed to providing as many ancillary services – those services provided beyond the core educational experience – as possible, as affordably as possible.
Financial Aid
We want to do all we can to provide a sustainable and affordable solution for our families, so we do have a Extended Programming-specific financial aid option.
To Apply:
- Families may apply for this option using the same method already in place for “Internal Financial Aid” (visit our “Tuition & Financial Aid” page and see “#4: Internal Financial Aid” under the ‘Tuition Assistance & Scholarship Opportunities section for more info). Families are invited to complete the same application process; the only additional step is for families to specifically note “Requesting Kids Club-specific aid.”
- Parents can update their FACTS Grant & Aid application by simply logging back into the application and updating it or adding a comment.
After Application:
- All applicants will be notified by FACTS Grant & Aid.
- Families with verified applications will be notified.
- Parents must accept the award and then the award is applied across the remaining payments due.
Parents are welcome to call the FACTS Grant & Aid phone number (866-315-9262) if they need help.
