Coming off a flawless 2025 AIA Championship run, the Valley Christian Rocket League team has now qualified for the prestigious PlayVS Cup. This national tournament features the top high school esports teams in a single-elimination bracket. It’s a major milestone for Valley Christian High School’s program.

The PlayVS Cup invites state champions and top teams from across the country. After their undefeated season, the Valley Christian Rocket League team has earned its spot. They beat Dakota High School (MI) in the first round and now face Hawaii’s President Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Round of 32.

The team—led by captain Chase DeBoer (’25), along with Christopher Meier (’27) and Sam Odom (’25)—has dominated every match. Thanks to Coach Jon Hunsaker’s leadership, they’ve remained focused and disciplined. As a result, their gameplay has been nearly flawless.
