Arizona’s nationally ranked Christian school, Valley Christian Schools, has announced the formation of the Valley Christian Schools Association beginning in the 2018-19 school year.
Three long-standing Christian elementary and middle schools in the East Valley (Bethany Christian School, Chandler Christian Academy, and Gethsemane Christian Academy) have already joined the association as charter members.
The Valley Christian Schools Association certainly shakes up the Christian education landscape in the East Valley. Through this partnership, families will experience a seamless K-12 Christian education option led by Valley Christian, a nationally ranked school, while having the ability to choose the member school that best fits their student’s needs. By working better together, schools can strengthen Christian education options in the East Valley and attract families to outstanding Christian education opportunities.
Valley Christian Schools Administrator Dan Kuiper commented, “We are convinced that by working together more and leveraging our expertise and resources with our traditional Christian feeder schools through an official association that we can increase the pie of Christian education in the East Valley. There are many Christian school families in district and charter schools for parts of their kindergarten through 12th grade education who should be in one of these great Christian schools for their entire educational experience. Our goal through this association is to strengthen our Christian schools, find those families, and connect them with an outstanding K-12 Christian education experience that prepares them to be culture makers for Christ.”
Through collaboration and shared resources and expertise, the association will offer increased opportunities for student growth, marketing oversight and support for schools, professional development resources and opportunities for teachers, and many added opportunities all designed to strengthen and grow the Christian member schools. VCSA member schools will still retain their independent status and the administration, programs, and policies that make them unique school choices for families.
