Biography

Troy is a proud alumnus of Valley Christian Schools (’03) and even married a fellow alumna, Kimberly (Meehan, ’05) in 2008. Troy earned his Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Arizona State University in 2009, then went on to complete his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from ASU in 2012.

Troy was born and grew up in Johnsburg, Illinois before moving to Arizona and attending Redeemer Christian School through 8th grade and VCS for high school. Prior to joining VCS, Troy worked in sales and management for 10 years, including retail sales (wireless), travel and hospitality management (Norwegian Cruise Line), broadcast production (Arizona Sports 98.7 FM), financial services management (Target), residential solar and lead generation management (Verengo Solar), and more. Troy spent six years serving as the Director of Development at VCS before transitioning into the Assistant Head of School role in 2020, where he oversees the school’s Advancement offices, executes the Secure the Future Campaign, and serves on the Executive Leadership Team.

On August 22, 2023, VCS announced that Troy will begin serving as the Head of School in July of 2024.

Outside of VCS, Troy serves on the worship team and is a member at Redeemer Bible Church. He also participates in the Leadership Institute through the Chandler Chamber of Commerce’s Community Foundation. He cherishes time with his family, including Kim, Levi (Class of 2032), Hayley (2033), and Tessa (2037), and also spends time playing basketball, supporting all of the local sports teams, playing music, and building meaningful relationships in the community.
