Biography

Taylor hails from Michigan where she attended catholic high school. Fulfilling her life-long dream of becoming a meteorologist, Taylor graduated from Valparaiso University in 2018 with a B.S. in Meteorology and a second major in Spanish. Though a Lutheran university, Taylor struggled to understand what it meant to follow Christ.

Upon starting her graduate studies in atmospheric science at Texas Tech University, Taylor began attending a contemporary, protestant church. The Holy Spirit quickly enlightened her to the joys of walking in a personal relationship with the Lord. During this time, Taylor got engaged to Aaron. They were married in September 2020, shortly after moving to Arizona.

As Taylor’s husband had the privilege of interacting with students from many cultures at ASU, he decided to pursue international student ministry in place of finishing his doctoral degree. Aaron raises financial support for their family and focuses his ministry efforts on Arab and Muslim students at ASU – Tempe.

Taylor began working at VCS in January 2021 as an interim Spanish teacher. In the 2021-22 and 2022-23 school years, she transitioned to teaching STEM courses such as Computer Programming, Cybersecurity, Engineering Design and Freshmen Engineering. Taylor was spiritually filled by not only her students but also her coworkers. Nonetheless, she stepped away from full-time teaching in May 2023 to focus on her growing family as their first child, Shepherd, was born.

Taylor serves as the Administrative Assistant to the ENGAGE Director. She supports the director in logistical efforts to promote and grow the VCS ENGAGE program in reaching the nations for Christ.
