I had the honor of attending Lumen Christi Catholic High School near my hometown in Michigan. After graduating at the top of my class, I enrolled with Valparaiso University, a Lutheran institution, where I double-majored in Meteorology and Spanish with a minor in Mathematics. To deepen my understanding of language and people, I spent five months abroad in Zaragoza, Spain. Upon graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science, I continued my education by completing a Master of Science in Atmospheric Science at Texas Tech University.

While living in Lubbock, Texas, I gained more than just a graduate degree. Although I had the privilege of knowing about Jesus as a child, I never was able to embrace the relationship God wanted with me. As I became involved with a small, outreach-focused church in the Heart of Lubbock, I witnessed the true transformation that can occur through the love of Christ. With these brothers and sisters in Jesus, I grew deeply in my understanding of His heart and His will in my life. This fire for God disseminated through all aspects of my life, including relationship and career. I fell in love with my best friend and we got married in September 2020. Additionally, the Lord revealed the importance of love above all else. Through this, God showed me the gift of teaching and I knew that’s where I belonged.

Currently, I live in Tempe, AZ with my husband, Aaron, and my dog, Hailey. A few ways we love to immerse ourselves in our community include getting to know our neighbors and taking public transportation. We are working with the Young Adults leadership team at Grace Community Church. In our spare time, we enjoy traveling and spending time outside (hiking, mountain biking, etc.). Our dog, Hailey, competes in frisbee competitions and was recently ranked 6th of 1100+ dogs! Lastly, an important point of ministry in our life focuses on creation care, so ask me how this impacts my daily routine!

I look forward to continued growth and involvement at VCS!
