Biography
Kris was born and raised in Long Beach, California, but has called Arizona her home for over 25 years. She still misses the beach but has learned to love the desert.
Kris and her husband Marty have been married 31 years. They have two amazing children who are graduates of Valley Christian High School and Grand Canyon University. Their son Connor and daughter in-law Jenna both serve at Mission Community Church. They welcomed their first grandchild, Judah, in 2024. Their daughter Makenzie is a flight attendant with Southwest Airlines and will be wed this December 2025.
Kris has been in education for over 30 years. She has taught in the Orange County School District in Southern California, Chandler Unified School District in Chandler, AZ, and Bethany Christian School in Tempe, AZ.
Kris earned a BA in Liberal Studies in 1992 from Long Beach State University, and a MA in Education and Curriculum Construction in 1998 from Northern Arizona University. Kris has an Arizona Teaching Credential as well as a Lifetime ACSI Teaching certificate.
Kris enjoys reading, shopping, spending time with family and friends and loves to travel.
