Biography
Jenny grew up in Southern California and was blessed to attend Biola University. Upon graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Jenny taught 9th grade English at a California public school. Shortly after she was married to her husband, Matt, and, upon starting a family, enjoyed being a stay-at-home-mom for a time. Matt and Jenny have been married for 20 years and have two children: Kyla who graduated from Valley Christian Schools in 2022 and Chase who is a senior at VCS this year.
Prior to teaching a VCS, Jenny taught 6th grade at HOPE Christian Academy for five years. Before that she worked part-time as an elementary coordinator for a church and as a substitute for Mesa Public Schools. This year, she is looking forward to teaching Freshman Seminar and STEM Survey on the high school campus.
Jenny is an avid runner who competed in cross country and track throughout high school and college. She currently coaches the High School Cross Country team.
Jenny’s passions are teaching the Bible in ways where it comes to life for children, literature and writing, project-based learning in the classroom, and anything that involves people (especially students) falling deeper in love with Jesus!
