Biography
Dan Kuiper has been an employee of Valley Christian since August of 1983. He has served the school in various capacities, including Science Department Head, Academic Team Chair, a teacher, a coach, Vice Principal, Administrator/Principal, and Head of School. Dan served as Vice Principal from 2012-2014, was named Administrator/Principal in 2014, and the Head of School in 2019.
Dan received his B.A. in Biology from Dordt University in 1982 and his M.A. in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University in 1997. He holds both an Arizona teaching certificate and ACSI certification. Dan has led a successful development campaign to raise funds for the current campus, acted as the point person for the building of our current campus, managed the school to successful NCA accreditation, and was twice named the National Track Coach of the Year.
Dan has also served on various college, church, and school boards.
Dan’s wife, Kathy, is also a life-long educator. They have 3 sons: Matt (VCS Class of 2003), Jarred (2005), and Scott (2010) and five grandchildren. Dan enjoys hiking, coaching, bird watching, and watching sports.
