Biography
Cleonie is originally from Puerto Limon, Costa Rica where she was born and raised. After High School, she moved to Southern California to pursue better opportunities for higher education. This is where she attended Cal Poly Pomona for her undergraduate degree in Spanish and later attended Azusa Pacific for a Master’s in Education. These accomplishments were because of the unwavering support of her cousin Sonia Wray and Family.
Cleonie is the proud mom of nine-year-old Micah Emery Harrison, whom she calls her Miracle baby and the blessed wife of Emery Harrison Jr. who is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu.
Cleonie enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends and listening to Gospel music.
Prior to coming to Valley, Cleonie taught Spanish for 12 years at Maranatha Preparatory High School in Pasadena, California. She also served as Department Chair, SAT Coordinator, and Mission’s Advisor.
Cleonie believes that her greatest contribution is simply saying yes to God’s will and way. Cleonie’s favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 2:9:
However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived” —
the things God has prepared for those who love him.”
Cleonie’s desire is to be a blessing in her new community of VCS and encourage our young people to chase after God.
