Each year, the Volunteer Services Department at both Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers invite teens between the ages of 14-18 years of age to participate in a leadership academy and to learn about careers in healthcare and to foster human kindness. Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 are invited to attend a one-hour Parent Information Session to learn more about the program:

• Date: Wednesday, February 24th
• Time: 5-6 pm
• Location: Campo Verde High School Auditorium, 3870 South Quartz Street, Gilbert AZ
• Notes: Students who attend will receive an advanced copy of the volunteen application, otherwise applications will be available, on line at chandlerregional.org or mercygilbert.org after March 1st, 2016.

Our program awards and accolades include:
• Winner of the 14th Annual Arizona Governor’s Award
• Invited to The White House to brief The White House Office of Public Engagement, Washington DC
• Concurrent speakers at National Conference on Volunteering
• Published program curriculum, including copyrighting and education and it has been sold to hospitals throughout the United States
• Two Flinn Scholars and one Gates Millineium Scholar – all attribute their full ride scholarships to the leadership skills they learned in our program

We hope that you will share this information with your guidance counselors and students so that they might have an opportunity to participate. Our goal is to not only create future healthcare providers, but to also create a foundation of kindness.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
