Parents of students who are participating in a fall sport are required to attend a parent meeting on Monday, August 17 at 7:00pm in Barnes Hall. The athletic administration will be discussing expectations of parents, coaches and student-athletes in the program and will discuss requirements and steps needed to play athletics in college. We will also have a guest speaker discuss what college coaches look for in student-athletes and social media use.

Following these speakers, parents will go to individual sport meetings with that program’s head coach.

In order for athletics at Valley Christian to run smoothly and to pursue excellence, this meeting is required for parent(s) to attend. You will be required to sign in to confirm your attendance. By attending and signing in, your student will be released to participate in games. We strongly recommend that you attend. We do, however, understand that the 17th might not work for everyone. If this is the case, you can set up meetings with the athletic director and coach to meet this requirement. This method is not preferred and we hope to keep these meetings to a minimum. No student-athlete will play in AIA sanctioned events until a parent has fulfilled this requirement.
