Our chapel today, “I Think I’m Spent”, kicked off the final chapel series of the year. Titled “ITIS”, the series will focus on how to finish the school year well. Today’s chapel used Hebrews 12:1-3 and 2 Timothy 4:7 to focus on admitting we’re broken and worn out, beaten up primarily from our own poor choices.
The writer of Hebrews implores us to “run with perseverance,” and that seems possible, especially since, “we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses.”
The “ITIS” chapel series continues with:
April 13th – “I Think I’m Stressed” – Luke 12:13-33 – The focus here will be on undue pressure and stress we place on ourselves because our focus is on the wrong things. The song, “Stressed Out,” by Twenty One Pilots, might be performed via video. – Jeremy Oliver – Speaker
April 20th – “I Think I’ll Serve” – Philippians 2:1-11 – The focus here will be on choosing to spend the last few weeks serving one another, whether that’s at home, school, sports, etc. Our model is Jesus. – Byron Chinchin – Speaker
April 27th – No Chapel – Schoolwide Testing
May 4th – “I Think I’ll Survive” – I Peter 1 – The focus here will be sending the students out on a good note! Encouraging them by reminding them of their new birth and living hope. As well, encouraging them that their trials are temporary. – Derek Robinson – Speaker
May 11th – Senior Chapel
