Come Work At a Top Workplace in Arizona

VCS has been consistently recognized as one of the top Christian high schools in the nation and one of the best K-12 Christian schools in the state, in large part due to our outstanding and committed faculty and staff. Through annual surveys, our team members have named VCS as a Top Workplace in Arizona in 2023 and 2024. We believe that Valley Christian Schools is important to the future of our country. And in order for VCS to be truly successful in achieving our vision and pursuing our mission, we attract and develop gifted and committed faculty and staff while fostering an exceptional work environment that few institutions can match.
Our team is our most valued asset, and our team member culture is the glue that helps bind our organization together. If you are interested in joining our team, please review the open employment opportunities. Please spend some time carefully reviewing any position you are interested in to ensure a good fit. We invite you to use your gifts, talents and passion to contribute to Valley Christian’s mission and community. Please prayerfully consider joining us and what God is doing on our campus.

Our Hiring Priorities

Christlikeness

Well-Equipped

The most important characteristic for every individual on Valley Christian’s team is to model the character of Jesus Christ and demonstrate a vibrant personal relationship with Him. Every other attribute must filter through this first precious truth. This is all in an effort to pursue our school’s mission to equip students to be culture changers for Christ by delivering academic excellence, facilitating spiritual growth, and building lifelong community.

Culture

Well-Respected

We seek team members who best represent our culture. Our employees must embody and promote the school’s vision, mission, and values. Otherwise, when deciding between the “why” or the “what,” those who don’t fit our culture may prioritize what they are doing instead of why. At VCS, it is OK to be temporarily off task, as long as you are on mission. The team members who tend to do the best and last the longest at VCS are “all in” on our mission.

Competence

Well-Qualified

Being great at your job matters, and we are relentless in this pursuit. We are constantly seeking well-qualified and highly-skilled individuals. In the rare case where a new employee lacks excellent qualifications or skills, they do not lack these skills for long. With a Christlike demeanor and a great attitude and affect, along with proper training and leadership, new employees demonstrate success and competence quickly.

Ways We Support Our Team Members

In 2024, Valley Christian Schools launched an intentional campaign to prioritize our staff and faculty. Our “Staff First” initiative introduced long-term strategies to support our staff and faculty spiritually, professionally, and financially. This, paired with our excellent benefits and competitive pay, demonstrates our commitment to aid our team members in equipping culture changers for Christ both today and tomorrow.

Spiritually

As a covenant Christian school, one of our many goals is to encourage the growth of each of our team members’ faiths. In alignment with our “Staff First” initiative, every team member participates in “Foundations of the Faith,” a series of meetings centered on biblical truth and expository teachings. We also aim to support our teachers in the classroom with our unique Angel Program and the Valley Way award.

Professionally

Valley Christian Schools recognizes that classroom is core and encourages our teachers to continue to further their own education. The Dan Kuiper Master Teacher Scholarship Fund, which supports the Continuing Education for Teachers Program, was established in 2024 to support continuing education opportunities for faculty members and academic-related staff members. VCS Help, an online platform dedicated to Valley Christian Schools employees, provides resources for all team members.

Financially

In addition to competitive pay, health benefits, and a great 401k match, VCS provides a wonderful tuition discount for the students of our valued team members. We are also committed to investing in teacher development through our Continuing Education for Teachers (CEFT) program. Team members have the opportunity to earn additional compensation through leadership opportunities, earning the Valley Way Award, deferring a portion of their PTO (although we insist each team member takes some time off!), and long-time service at VCS. We also provide no-cost estate planning for our team members, spontaneous hospitality and appreciation throughout the year, and more.
