Another year of school has drawn to a close. It causes us to pause and examine why we do what we do and in what manner we do it. Many achievements and accomplishments have occurred this year such as this senior class averaging nearly $49,000 per student in college scholarships. Our seniors also raised $112,000 for those in need through their senior projects and impacted 28 countries. Students have served Christ in Romania and the school has continued its streak of at least one state championship every year for the past 27 years. Despite these incredible accomplishments, they mean nothing unless we do it unto the Lord.
At Valley Christian, it is our goal to be excellent in every way. We realize many schools and organizations use this cliché, but we really believe it should not be in words only. God calls us to excellence. 2 Corinthians 8:7, “But as you excel in everything – faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you – see that you excel in this act of grace also”. At Valley Christian, we believe this verse embodies our mission statement. We want students to be prepared academically, spiritually, socially, and physically to make a difference for Christ.
Parents, we want to thank you for trusting your student’s education to us. Many others have supported us to make this education possible. We want to thank them as well. We covet your prayers and support as we look to the future. We have many exciting things planned. Our desire is that we continue to add value to the education students receive at our school. Please pray as we plan for the new Jr. High, the strategic plan and implementation of all its phases, and new insights for our teachers as they plan for continued Biblical integration into their lessons for next year.
To our seniors and senior families, blessings in where God leads you. We appreciate and thank you for all your contributions to Valley Christian High School. To the rest of you, have a blessed summer and we will see you again next fall.
