The Valley Christian Trojans have officially secured their place in Arizona baseball history. Valley Christian wins state baseball championship for the second year in a row, defeating Yuma Catholic 6-0 at Tempe Diablo Stadium on May 19th to cap off a remarkable 30-2 season.
All year long, the Trojans showed dominance. With huge region wins over teams like Coolidge (29-2), Florence (21-2), and Apache Junction (11-1), Valley Christian entered the postseason as the top seed in 3A. Their playoff run included a 13-0 shutout over Payson in the first round, a thrilling 16-9 comeback against River Valley, and a two-game semifinal sweep of Gilbert Christian.
In the championship game, it was all Trojans. The pitching staff was lights out, and the offense delivered early and often. Senior leaders Caleb Danzeisen and Berkeley Kaiser led by example all season, while underclassmen like Cam Bergloff and Jaxen Maxey stepped up in big moments.
The coaching staff credits the team’s culture, work ethic, and unity for the success. “From the first practice, the mission was clear—go back-to-back. Now that Valley Christian wins state baseball championship, it’s a testament to this group’s character,” said Coach.
This title run wasn’t just about wins—it was about resilience, preparation, and trust. In 32 games, the Trojans gave up more than four runs only four times. Their pitching depth, offensive firepower, and clutch defense defined the season.
With a team-first mindset, and it showed every time they took the field. As banners are raised and celebrations begin, one message rings clear: the Trojans are a dynasty in the making.
Congratulations to the entire program—Valley Christian wins state baseball championship, and the legacy continues.
