Valley Christian will again celebrate with two members from our community as they are inducted into the Chandler Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.

The City of Chandler and the Chandler Sports Hall of Fame announced that Ashton Wolf ’11 and Scott Timmer will be in the next class of inductees.

Ashton was a member of five state championship teams while at Valley Christian, won seven individual state championships, and earned 12 varsity letters in five different sports. She graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was the class salutatorian.

After Valley, she attended West Point. While there, she played one year of softball and three years of team handball. She won three collegiate titles with Army. She was named the Tournament MVP each of the three years and was invited to join the U.S. National Team. She was on the roster for a short period of time, but her commitment to the Army prohibited her from committing to play for the US. National Team. Ashton graduated 23rd overall in her class of over 1,000 from the United States Military Academy.

Scott Timmer is one of the winningest girls basketball coaches in Arizona history. He amassed a remarkable 541-97 (.848) overall record in his 20 years of coaching, all of which came at Valley Christian, before stepping down after the 2016-17 season. In his last 12 years as head coach, his teams won 131 of 134 region games. Scott won three state championships – in 2010, 2011, and 2017.
