The Arts

VCHS arts

A course intended to prepare students for performance and to actually perform. They will perform several times throughout the school year in churches, at school events and for various organizations. They will also participate in Music Festivals, contests and will travel.

Full year—1 credit.

VCHS arts

Instrumental music includes Jazz Band, Trojan Band, and Valley Rhythmics. Student musicians improve their musical reading ability and rhythmic intuition through the study of complex rhythms via non-traditional instruments. They are also a big part in Valley Christian spirit as they perform at several sporting events, as well as other festivals and workshops.

VCHS Theater

Participating in theater at Valley Christian High School takes on many different forms for students.  With opportunities to act, run sound and lighting and even direct, students develop their gifts as they build confidence and creativity.

Students are able to develop their skills both in class and after school.  The theater department produces a wide variety of productions and have numerous performance opportunities in the community.

Student Artwork

Students at Valley Christian have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of visual arts electives.  From beginning to advanced visual art classes, students will be challenged to develop their skills and express creativity.  Our Art Lab features large student work areas for projects and even includes a kiln for ceramics.  Student work is featured throughout the year in the hallways at Valley and at various art shows at school and in the community.
