We’re excited to share the “After Valley” story of Nathan Sanchez. Nathan graduated from VCS in 2008 and is now currently the producer of the nationally syndicated radio program, The Steve Sanchez Show.

What did you do after Valley? Where did your life take you?

After Valley, I attended the Art Institute of Phoenix and received a BA in Film and Broadcasting. I received a position with James Cameron on his production team.

Tell us a little about your daily work:

Today I am the producer on the nationally syndicated radio program, The Steven Sanchez Show, heard in 100 markets across the nation. I have been very fortunate to be able to work in the entertainment business. I have been very fortunate to be able to even meet the president on several occasions.

What’s one surprising thing we don’t know about you?

I am obsessed with collecting vintage Kenner Star Wars toys from the ’70s and ’80s.

While you were at VCS, which teachers, coaches or classmates had the biggest impact on you?

Mrs. Staten definitely has the biggest impact on me at Valley. She is one tough lady, but she has your best interest at heart for you to become successful.

How do you stay connected with your friends from Valley and VCS?

With such a busy schedule, unfortunately I only get to see people through social media. Everyone seems like they’re doing great!

What’s one lasting memory you have of VCS?

The Chorale New York/Carnegie Hall trip! It was a blast!

Do you have any advice for current students?

Work hard! It is worth it! I wouldn’t have gotten to where I am now, without the impact Valley Had on my life.
