What did you do after Valley? Where did your life take you?
After Valley, I accepted a football scholarship to play at Trinity International University, north of Chicago. I returned to Arizona to attend Arizona State University after just one year due to some unfortunate injuries. I joined the United States Air Force in January of 2010 and was stationed at Eglin AFB, FL. I met my incredible, gorgeous, godly wife Brie, in December of 2011 and we were married a little over a year later on February 10, 2013.
Tell us a little about your daily work:
I am a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force. My career field is Aircraft Armament Systems. Some of my primary duties include, testing and evaluating new weapons systems to inspecting, repairing and loading ordnance on F-15 and A-10 fighter aircraft. Which is fancy talk for, loading bombs, missiles and fixing/maintaining everything weapons related.
What’s one surprising thing we don’t know about you?
Well, I had the unfortunate pleasure of being tasered for a fundraiser in support for The Wounded Warrior Project. It was so much worse than I expected.
How do you stay connected with your friends from Valley and VCHS?
It is difficult to stay in touch considering I have been stationed in Florida for the past four years. However, whenever I visit Arizona on leave, I make a point to see my closest friends and teammates.
What’s one lasting memory you have of VCHS?
In 2005, I was fortunate to be apart of the first Valley Football team to win a State Championship.
