We’re excited to share Clint Sanniec’s “After Valley” story with you! Clint was one of the first students enrolled in our VINE program when it began in 2006, and played a key role in the creation of the VINE program.

As of the 2018-19 school year, more than 10% of our student body at both the high school and junior high is made up of students who participate in our VINE program! Check out the full story of the Origin of VINE at the button below.

What did you do after Valley? Where did your life take you?

I am now a licensed a massage therapist (facebook.com/sanniecmassage). I’m also a missionary, and I do a lot of international traveling.

Tell us a little about your daily work:

I currently work for a chiropractor’s office in Chandler and a spa in Tempe, as well as my own mobile massage service, taking care of both individual and corporate clients at home or in the office. I have certifications on multiple modalities, so I’m able to help people to feel relaxed and help them get back on their feet.

What’s one surprising thing we don’t know about you?

The one surprising thing people don’t know about me is that I finished a 12-step program at my church called “Celebrate Recovery.” This program is truly for everyone, not just “addicts.” That really did help me at that moment in my life, to help me understand who Christ is and who I am in Christ, and I am so thankful for that!

While you were at VCS, which teachers, coaches or classmates had the biggest impact on you?

Probably the Football coaches most of all. Also, the VINE teachers and a couple of other staff members at Valley.

How do you stay connected with your friends from Valley and VCS?

Just hanging out with them and doing a Bible study together. Also, I see a lot of them on Facebook.

What’s one lasting memory you have of VCS?

That is a tough one, as I have so many great memories of Valley Christian. Winning the Football State Championship in 2009 as the starting kicker is a forever memory.

Do you have any advice for current students?

The advice I would give is… When life gets hard, and in both the good times and the bad times, always turn to God. Tell him what you’re really thinking and what your heart desires. Praise Him for the good times and the bad times. God is good, all the time.
