Shanna Chen ’14 pins shoulder boards on Bailey Flansburg ’15 at the Air Force Academy’s Acceptance Parade.
Acceptance Day marks the end of the Basic Cadet Training and candidates become a member of the cadet wing. BCT is a five-week program that tests a cadet’s mental and physical abilities and helps make the transition from civilian to military life. It consists of two phases, both administered by upper-class cadets with commissioned officers and sergeants serving as advisors.
