Anna & Jacob Goldman ’16
This “After Valley” profile was originally posted in April 2024.

What did you do after Valley? Where did your life take you?
Jacob: I attended Central Arizona College and then University of Arizona for a Bachelor’s in Agriculture Technology Management with an emphasis on Crop Production. During college I began a career at Discount Tire but eventually moved back to agriculture working for Bayer Crop Science in their pre-commercial cotton program. This year (2026) I began working for Quality Liquid Feeds as a District Sales Manager for Arizona, New Mexico and California. The best thing that has happened to me after Valley was marrying my high school sweetheart, fellow alumnus Anna (Hasper) Goldman in 2019. We welcomed our first daughter in 2023 and are preparing for the arrival of our second daughter any day now.
Anna: I attended the University of Montana Western where I majored in Natural Horsemanship and competed on the rodeo team, won the Big Sky Region in barrel racing in 2018 and qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo. 11 days after graduating, and a road trip back across the country with 3 horses and a dog, I was back in AZ marrying the man of my dreams and now father to our 2 beautiful girls. I currently work as a veterinary technician at an equine hospital in Gilbert where I get to work on all kinds of horses and the occasional zebra.
Tell us a little about your daily work:
Jacob: I work directly with dairyman, cattle nutritionists, ranchers and farmers in regards to feed and agronomy sales. Most of my days are spent visiting with local dairies to verify inventory and building relationships with new and existing customers.
Anna: My days are split between working at the clinic and raising our family. At work I spend a lot of time in surgery running anesthesia and performing MRI’s. At home we try to be outside as much as the weather allows, passing on our love of animals and agriculture.
What’s one surprising thing we don’t know about you?
Jacob: I got into running after high school and have enjoyed participating in several half and full marathons.
While you were at VCS, which teachers, coaches or classmates had the biggest impact on you?
Jacob: Tonk’s Bible classes were very influential in strengthening my faith as well as learning about world religions and how to wrestle with tough questions from a biblical worldview.
Anna: While all of my teachers were great – looking back, Mr. Nelson made our calculus class so much more approachable and “fun” than I recognized at the time, and both Ms. Jackson’s and Mr. Kuiper’s science classes helped lay a solid foundation and understanding that I still rely on in my career today.
How do you stay connected with your friends from Valley and with VCS?
Jacob: Some of my best friends are Valley alumni so it is effortless to stay connected with them. I stay connected with Valley through my siblings that are still attending as well as friends who are on staff at Valley schools. I’ve had a blast watching my younger siblings at Valley’s football games, wrestling matches and track meets.
What’s one lasting memory you have of VCS?
Jacob: Meeting my now-wife Anna is one memory I will never forget.
Anna: Missions class to Romania
Do you have any advice for current students?
Jacob: Enjoy this time with your friends because it will go by faster than you expect and do not take this opportunity/privilege to attend Valley for granted
Anything else you want us to know?
Jacob: Attending Valley Christian High School is one of the greatest highlights of my life. Not only did I meet my wife here, but I built life long friendships, unforgettable memories on the football field and received an amazing education. I will always be grateful for the time I spent at this school and for everything it gave me.
