School years are marked by memories. Our hope is that the past week of worship, teaching, and breakout sessions, will have made the list of favorite memories of the 2017-2018 school year. Historically known as Spiritual Emphasis Week, Valley Christian High School sets forth every year to use faculty, staff, and guest speakers to minister to our students.
This year, our worship was overseen by Pastor David Ruybalid. David joined forces with special guests, including our very own Brendan Bellerson! The music brought us in to a state of worship and really set us up to hear God’s Word.
We were honored to listen to Pastor Curt Gentry for four days! Pastor Curt used dynamic, glass-shattering (!) illustrations to communicate God’s truths. Curt used Luke 2:52 as his primary passage to challenge us to grow in the Lord!
After worship and teaching, the students had opportunities each day to choose from 16 Breakout sessions. 20 Valley Christian staff and one guest teacher led four days of sessions on a variety of topics including: anxiety, dating, time management, positive words, wholistic living, faithful living, testimonies, prayer, and much more.
It was a week worth remembering! Praise God!
