One of our founders, Guy Davidson, passed away peacefully on November 7 in Chandler.
Pastor Guy was one of the founding individuals of Valley Christian High School and helped create the by-laws and constitution of the school.
Another one of our founders, Harold Molenaar, said of Pastor Guy, “He was a consistent and strong promoter of both Grace Christian Community School and Valley Christian High School, convincing parents of the strong foundation their children would receive at a Christian school.”
Pastor Guy moved to Arizona in 1939 and graduated from Phoenix Union High School. His life in ministry began in 1951 as a Student Pastor in Missouri. After several stops, Pastor Guy founded Grace Community Church in 1967. Pastor Guy served as the Vice President of Samaritan’s Purse and Director of World Medical Mission from 1988 until 1992 and eventually returned to Arizona where he founded Arizona Community Church. In addition to his pastoral ministry, he was an author, served on numerous boards and was always committed to Christian education.
We are thankful for Pastor Guy’s heart for ministry and Christian education and lift up his family in our prayers.
His memorial service was held on Sunday, November 27 at Grace Community Church.
