Kuiper WebJust recently I was struck by a devotional a staff member, Tom Croke, gave about transforming our minds. He talked about how hard this is to do as Christians. Romans 12:2 states: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” With the world constantly bombarding us with ungodly beliefs, it would be easy to veer from the truth if we were not constantly exposed to the truth. We would fall into the trap of believing what the world defined as truth.

The example of a backwards bike was given. You can see for yourself here. Once something is so ingrained in our minds, it is nearly impossible to change it. I then thought about Christian education and how important this should be to all our Christian families. At a very young age we must begin to instill God’s truth into our children. We want it to be a part of who they are and so ingrained in their minds and behaviors that it is nearly impossible for them to think otherwise. I guess the opposite would be true as well, we don’t want ungodly truths ingrained either because that also would be hard to change.

We want to be transformative at Valley Christian High School and we strive to do that. When the church, home, and school all work together to renew and transform our students’ minds, we can produce students that do make a difference in the world for Christ. Thank you for partnering with us.
