At Valley Christian our goal is to actively engage with our community. This year through ENGAGE Arizona, students will have the opportunity to serve through organizations such as Campbell’s Crew Cares, Feed My Starving Children, Midwest Food Bank, as well as through a Mini-Tour with Marianne Heim and Mrs. Staten.

Campbells Crew Cares is a small charity providing food, clothing, and essential items for people in need.

Feed my Starving Children is a Christian non-profit organization that has provided nutritious meals to over 100 countries since 1987, thanks to the help of volunteers.

Midwest Food Bank is a faith-based organization supporting people in need, children, schools, and food pantries while also assisting in disaster relief efforts.

Our Engage Administrative Assistant Taylor Adams shared, “We are excited to share that we are partnering with three organizations this year – Feed My Starving Children, Midwest Food Bank, and Campbell’s Crew Cares. These organizations are coming to our Chandler Campus to help our students serve our community, and globally, in a BIG way! We will be packaging Manna bags for FMSC, hygiene bags for Midwest Food Bank, and 2,000-calorie bags for the unhoused with Campbell’s Crew Cares.” Students will be able to serve our community for free through the help of these organizations.

The Mini Tour, led by Mrs. Heim, will take place at our Tempe Campus, Phoenix Christian Grade School, and Hope Christian Academy. This is an amazing opportunity for High School students to be able to serve the younger students at our feeder schools. The high school students will be assisting with Chapels and they will be dressing up for the Kindergarten through 4th grade kids, helping with lunch service, mystery readers, cleaning, bulletin board making, and playing with the kids. Senior Rachel Wolff shared, “I am excited to bless younger students bringing the gift and joy of music, inspiring the next generation to praise God!”

The Mini Tour led by Mrs. Staten will be giving back to our community through their art skills. On March 3rd our students will be going to Sunrise Senior Living and doing art sessions with them. On March 4th they will come back to our High School campus to paint the boys and girls bathrooms and decorate and prepare pots for Brooksdale Senior Living. On the 5th they will be going to our Junior High Campus to lead some art sessions with the kids. Then on the last day they will continue their art projects here at the High School Campus.

We look forward to seeing the positive influence ENGAGE Arizona will have on our community this year!
