Biography

Brianna Widger (’18) is passionate about helping others, teaching math, and pointing people to Christ. She loves talking about Jesus and is so thankful she gets to share that love in the classroom, as she values Christian Education and the impact that it has had on her life. She believes math displays the glory, creativity, and order of God in a beautiful way and enjoys explaining it in a way students can understand.

Brianna was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona. She is a Valley alumnus and attended Grand Canyon University to pursue her Bachelor’s in Secondary Education in Mathematics with a minor in Christian Studies. As a lifelong learner, she continued her education while teaching to obtain her Masters in Mathematics for Secondary Education. It was teachers at Valley who inspired her to become a math teacher, so she feels extremely blessed to have returned as a teacher, herself, to have the opportunity to inspire her students.

Brianna sings on the worship team at Grace Community Church and loves Jesus, spending time with her family and friends, coffee, and her dog, Percy. She enjoys the little things in life like having an encouraging conversation with a friend, cooking a good meal, listening to new Christian music, reading a good book, or having a movie night.
