Sara is a native of Arizona and grew up in Phoenix. She attended Phoenix Christian School PK-8 and Phoenix Christian High School. Sara always knew she wanted to work in education and decided on the area of Speech Language Pathology. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University and went on to complete her Master’s Degree from the University of Redlands. Shortly after completing her Master’s program she was re-introduced to her now husband, Steven (VCS High School class of 1992) and in 2024 they celebrated 20 years of marriage.

Sara and Steven have two sons. Zachary is currently a senior (Class of 2025) and Drew is in the 8th grade (Class of 2029). As a family they love to play games, watch movies and attend sporting events. Both boys are involved in extra curricular activities which keeps the family busy as well.

Christian education has been a large part of Sara’s life and family background. Both sets of grandparents were key members in beginning Phoenix Christian School PK-8 in 1959. Sara and Steven’s children are the 4th generation to be involved at PCS. Sara also continues her family legacy and is the 3rd generation to teach in a Christian school, following her grandmother, 2 aunts and sister. Sara never thought it would be possible for her to be a Speech Language Pathologist in a Christian school so when the opportunity presented itself, she jumped at the chance. She can’t wait to bring her knowledge and love of helping children effectively communicate to the students at Valley Christian.
