Valley Christian’s two robotics teams traveled to Oakland, California to compete at the Super-Regional Championships. Heading into the Alliance Selection for the Silicon Division of 36 teams, Valley X was in 4th place and Trojan Robotics was in 10th place. The top four teams were picked to be Team Captains. Valley X was the 4th Place Captain and was picked by the 2nd Place Captain. Trojan Robotics was asked to join the 3rd place Alliance Team. Going into Semi-Finals, our two teams battled it out against each other in match play. During a best of three match format, Valley X and its Alliance Partners advanced out of the Semi Finals into the Finals, losing in the end to the 1st Place Alliance Captain and their two partners.
Finishing as Division Finalists, (Second Place for the Silicon Division), Valley X has qualified for a spot to advance to the World Competition in St. Louis, April 22-25. They will compete against 127 other teams from across the United States and the World.
Both Teams have worked very hard this year, and we would like to congratulate them for their dedication and successes. We wish Valley X the best as they represent Valley Christian at the World Championships in just a few short weeks.
