Valley Christian senior Ashley Koch scored her 1,000th career point in Valley Christian’s 65-21 win over Northwest Christian on Tuesday night. Koch finished with 17 points, eight rebounds, five steals and four assists in the game.
She becomes the eighth girl in school history to reach 1,000 career points. Koch is averaging 12.8 points per game this season, which currently ranks 14th in D-III.
The Trojans improved to 16-0 on the year after capturing the 2014 VCHS Christmas Invitational championship and their win on Tuesday over the Crusaders. The Trojans are ranked #3 in Arizona (all-divisions) by MaxPreps.
Valley Christian boys and girls basketball hosts Fountain Hills on Tuesday, January 12. Varsity girls begin at 6:00pm with boys tipping off at 7:30pm.
