Biography
Dorothey grew up in a proud military family (U.S. Air Force) and married a career Army soldier. Her favorite hobbies are sketching, painting, scrap-booking, and traveling. She is a widow with two adult sons and four lively grandchildren.
She taught Art for grades 1 through 12 before coming to Valley Christian and wrote and presented professional development sessions for teachers. Her most treasured presentation was “Art Heals”, which addressed how to use Art to get through difficult times.
Dorothey has also been an English Professor at Grand Canyon University for more than 25 years.
