The 10389023_738310049595931_6446403281446905998_nChorale traveled to Illinois and Michigan last week for their annual tour.  While they were traveling and performing, the students recorded their ” God moments”.  The group performed at eight different places, including at numerous nursing and assisted living homes, a home for children with autism and at a mission shelter’s praise and testimony service. On Sunday, they lead worship at Lombard Christian Reformed Church in the Chicago area before coming back home.  All the while, the Chorale experienced the Spirit alive in them and working through their music and ministry.  Praise God for the opportunity for our students to be a part of that and for safe travels in the snow!

We’re proud to share a few with you a few of those moments from our students:

My God moment for the day was the people at Ben’s Hope dancing and singing with us. They were just overflowing with joy and were so genuine, it was such a blessing to see God work through the audiences as well as the performers. — Danielle Decker

10714371_738792976214305_4861502121085535893_o“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders, let me walk upon the waters wherever you would call me, take me deeper then my feet could ever wander and my faith will be made stronger in the present of my savior.” Immediately this bridge kept running through my mind and kept replaying itself. I think especially with going to new places, it comes along with being out of your element and in a new place spiritually and physically. With it being the first day, I’m curious to see what God has in store for us and just reminding myself that I need to walk into everything with an open mind and open heart for God to move in this chorale. — Erin Covert

My God moment was when we were singing the hymn “Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God Almighty” and we got to the verse that said “all Thy works shall praise Thy name, in earth and sky and sea.” When we sang that, I looked out of the window and saw an incredible white snow storm outside! What a blessing to be in a place where we can see God’s glory and power in this display! — Rachel Langston
