Twelve students from Poland and two teachers were hosted by Valley families and spent the past two weeks experiencing US culture.
The students came to classes and dialogued with teachers and students, exchanging ideas and cultural differences. They got to experience the difference between the European and American school systems, noting that they enjoyed and were most surprised by the highly-relational aspect Valley teachers have with students.
In between visiting classes, Poland students explored Sedona, San Diego, the Botanical Gardens, and museums throughout Arizona. This summer our high school will be sending a group of students to live with the same families in Poland and experience their culture.
