Valley Christian alumna Lindy Dyer ‘13 has been named the school’s head volleyball coach.
Lindy comes back to Valley Christian after serving as the head coach of Tempe Prep for one season. Lindy led the team to the school’s first appearance in the 2A State Semifinals. Prior to that, she served as our JV head coach for two years and our freshman head coach for one season. Lindy also has coached at Club One for the past four years.
As a student-athlete at Valley Christian, Lindy was a four year starter on the volleyball team. She finished her high school career with 1,705 digs and 716 kills. She was also a member of our state championship volleyball team in 2009 and was a member of a state championship track and field team. Lindy earned First Team All-State honors her junior and senior years. She led the Trojans in kills, digs and aces as a junior and a senior and was placed on the cover of the national Nike volleyball media guide as one of their “Super 6 Seniors”. Her junior year, Lindy led the entire division in kills and ranked third in Arizona.
Following her career at Valley Christian, Lindy was offered multiple volleyball scholarships. She accepted a scholarship to Colorado Christian University. At CCU, she started in nearly every match as a freshman before suffering a career ending concussion.
