Biography

Allison grew up in the great state of Texas where she enjoyed water sports, photography, and the great outdoors. She received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Dallas Baptist University in 1998 and married her college sweetheart, Peter. They began their adventure in Virginia where Allison taught 5th grade at Atlantic Shores Christian School and Peter attended Regent University School of Law. They moved to Arizona in 2002.

Allison has eight children, including two Valley graduates, Nathan ‘20, Brennan ‘21, Abby, Wesley, Seth, Ransom, Timmy, and Asher. She homeschooled her children for 14 years before joining the VCS team.

Over the years, Allison has served on multiple boards including East Valley Christian Home Educators, Arizona Families for Home Education, and The Center for Arizona Policy. She cares deeply about strong policy and has been a lobbyist for school choice and family advocacy centers. During her homeschool years she was Director of Government Affairs and Director of Special Education for Arizona Families for Home Education. She also served a term on the Arizona Department of Education’s Empowerment Scholarship Account Parent Advisory Council.

Allison started at VCS as an elementary VINE teacher and now manages K-6 VINE and Intervention. After a decade of work with special education students, she knows the joy of cultivating an environment where these neuro-diverse students can grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually as they embrace hope and step boldly into the plan God has for their lives.
