Valley Christian junior Kaitlyn Bellerson was the girl on fire Monday night in Sedona. The junior sharpshooter tied an Arizona all-class state record for 3-pointers made in a game with 13 during the Trojans’ 61-33 win over Sedona Red Rock.
There has only ever been one other Arizona high school girls basketball player to record that many threes in a game.
Bellerson’s 13 threes is also the fourth highest total ever recorded nationally in a girls high school game. Nine players have also converted that many nationally.
For the night, Bellerson was 13 for 20 from beyond the arc, where she scored 39 of her career high 41 points.
