Biography
Vickie was born and raised in the Washington, DC area and she met her husband Rob on the Metro (subway system).
After working for USA Today and Gannett Newspapers for 15 years, Rob felt the call of the Lord to move into Christian ministry. For the past 22 years Vickie and Rob have lived in Upland, IN where Rob has been Chief Information Officer at Taylor University. Vickie & Rob have four adult children: Christopher and his wife Erin live in Augusta, Ga; Phillip lives in Columbus, OH; Colleen and her husband Nate live in Columbus, OH; and Patrick lives in Indianapolis, IN.
Vickie’s hobbies include travel, travel, and travel! She has visited England, Scotland, Italy, Greece, Spain, Morocco, Thailand, Myanmar, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, Canada, and Bermuda! Together, Vickie & Rob love hiking in the West, checking out Diners, Drive-ins and Dives spots, and becoming familiar faces at local Starbucks!
In his letter to the Colossians, Paul exhorts believers to “see that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.”
Vickie believes deeply in Christ-centered education and has shared this philosophy in Christian and public schools. Her passion lies in high-ability education, project-based learning, and writing curriculum to ensure students know that ALL truth comes from God.
