Mandy Tompkins ’15 is thrilled to be returning to Valley Christian. She will be assuming the theatre teaching position, which has been an aspiration of hers since she graduated from Valley Christian in 2015. Mandy grew up in Gilbert, Arizona with two brothers. She found her love for performing at a young age and spent much of her elementary and high school years dancing, singing, and acting at local performing arts companies. In her spare time, Mandy enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, biking, and playing casual games (volleyball is her favorite) with friends and family.
Mandy has several on stage credits; some of her favorite productions she has acted in include: Guys and Dolls, Seussical the Musical, Big Fish, and Anything Goes. She also has experience back stage building scenery, sewing costumes, and being a part of numerous crews. Recently, Mandy was rewarded as a finalist at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) for her Stage Management abilities. This summer Mandy will be teaching classes at Childsplay, a nationally recognized youth theatre company.
Mandy believes Christian Education is the most prosperous educational environment for students and successfully prepares students for life after high school. Mandy hopes she can prepare and inspire Valley students for the future God has called each of them to.
