Biography
Jeff was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, but unlike most of his friends, he always wanted to live in a warm climate. After graduating from high school, he attended Taylor University in Upland, Indiana where he majored in Spanish and English. He studied and lived in Spain before moving to the San Diego area to teach Spanish at Tri-City Christian School in Vista for 28 years where he taught all levels of Spanish from elementary to AP and also served as the foreign language department head. Jeff has been blessed to have the opportunity to travel to Argentina, Mexico, and Peru on mission trips with Tri-City students. He was privileged to help lead an 8th grade east coast study tour for many years. Jeff has also lead educational trips to Spain, France, England, Scotland, Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
Jeff is married to his beautiful wife Terri who has dreamed of moving to the desert for years. Finally, her dream is coming true. They have a daughter, Ashlee, who lives in Carlsbad, California.
Jeff loves reading and watching movies. He and Terri enjoy going to estate sales and looking for treasures, going out to dinner and traveling. They look forward to exploring Arizona.
His favorite verse – and the first verse he teaches all of his classes in Spanish is Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
Jeff looks forward to what God has in store for him at Valley Christian and feels very blessed to be a part of this community.
