Congratulations to Trojan boys basketball coach Greg Haagsma on earning his 600th career win on Saturday, November 24 vs. Globe.
All of Coach Haagsma’s wins have come at Valley Christian, with 101 as the girls coach and 500 and counting as the boys coach.
“It means that I’m old,” Haagsma, who is in his 28th year overall coaching at Valley Christian, said of his 600th overall win. “And that I’ve had a lot of really good players. I absolutely love coaching and the kids I’ve had over the years. This team is no different. We take a lot of pride in building the program from the freshmen up to seniors. I’ve had the exact same staff this whole time. My assistant coaches have been with me for all 600 wins.”
His 600+ career wins and five state championships make him one of Arizona’s all-time winningest coaches!
