What did you do after Valley? Where did your life take you?
After graduation I began working at a local coffee roaster shop as well as teaching drums. That summer I also began dating my husband who had also graduated with me. From coffee roasting I moved to a Human Resources position at Spencer’s TV & Appliance were I stayed for 3 years, leaving after the birth of my first son.
Tell us a little about your daily work:
I got married in 2020 and had our son Levi in 2023, our second son Miles in 2024, then our baby girl Murphy the end of 2025. I am a stay at home mom so my daily job is changing diapers, feeding kids, and investing in their future!
What’s one surprising thing we don’t know about you?
I never match my socks.
While you were at VCS, which teachers, coaches or classmates had the biggest impact on you?
During my time at Valley the fine arts department had the biggest impact on me. This includes Ms Freeman and Mrs Heim. By my senior year I was involved in 5 fine arts classes. Their support and guidance in my musical career allowed me to be able to teach music lessons after I graduated.
How do you stay connected with your friends from Valley and with VCS?
My husband and I both went to Valley as well as all our siblings so staying in touch with high school friends is easy!
What’s one lasting memory you have of VCS?
A lasting memory from Valley would be the fact our senior class got banned from doing a senior prank due to our reputation.
Do you have any advice for current students?
Take advantage of as many electives as possible!
