Leah McDermott is very excited to be joining the Valley family this year as the coordinator curriculum, instruction and assessment. She has been involved in the education system in some way or another for 14 years, and has been a certified teacher for 8 years. She received her bachelor’s degree at NAU, and her masters degree at Grand Canyon University. She is right where the lord intended for her to be, and feels extremely blessed to be a part of the Valley Christian team.
She was born and raised in Camp Verde, Arizona, and has lived in the valley for 13 years now. She has a loving husband, two wonderful daughters (Avril age 16 and Tessa age 8), a son (Desmond age 5) and a pug named Dobby. In her free time she enjoys playing volleyball, going on hikes, kayaking, fishing and spending some relaxing time at her family cabin. She also enjoys traveling, reading, crafting, and trying new foods.
